After installing QuickBooks I set up a company file, and then had to stop as I didn't know what to do next, the help both online and offline was not the best. Rather than struggle and risk entering incorrect date I asked the Mobile Accountant to help. A one day training course was arranged at our office. Using our own company data Martyn was able to show me how to set up and use QuickBooks including entering live data for the transaction types that we needed.

I would recommend the Mobile Accountant to anyone who needs QuickBooks training.

"I am a Chartered Accountant in practice but over the last two years I have started my own business which has grown beyond my wildest expectations. I, therefore, was looking for an accounts package that gave me far greater flexability and in particular had invoicing and stock control contained within it and enabled me to obtain many different reports from it. I narrowed it down to a choice between Quick Books and Sage. I did some searching on the Web and came across Martyn, he came to see me and basically showed me both programs. Both had their faults but Martyn suggested that Quick Books would be more 'user friendly' particularly for the staff taking orders over the phone.

Martyn then came down and set up the software and tailered it to my needs as far as possible, particularly setting up the invoices, products and nominal accounts. He then came for another day and showed me how to make all the entries. Admittedly this was probably easier for me with my experience to grasp most of the things I was shown quickly, but Martyn had a very pleasant manner and was able to answer any questions I had and to go over anything I wasn't quite sure of.

I would highly recommend Martyn to train you and your staff rather than trying to work through a manual or a time consuming online or cd course."

Time spent with Martyn saved many hours of familiarising myself with the help functionality. Martyn was also able to explain all features that would make using Quick Books easier and more productive. As an untrained bookkeeper I was struggling badly with Quickbooks following only a very rudimentary introduction by my predecessor - until my Bespoke Training days with Martyn Smith. By initially being able to ask about, and resolving, the problems I'd already encountered, then being able to listen to Martyn'simplified breakdown of how the system works, followed by some invaluable troubleshooting, I am now beginning to take charge of the system, rather than the other way around! I may need a follow up session at some stage, but I am no longer blinkered and am developing the confidence to seek out myself the answers to queries arising as I progress using the system.
